Since 2009, IU has been publicly participating in philanthropy and have since been widely regarded as a “donation angel”. From volunteering to spreading awareness and positivity as an honorary ambassador to donating large amounts of money to various organizations and meaningful causes, IU has significantly contributed to the betterment of local communities over the last decade.

 

In December 2019, IU was named one of Forbes Asia’s “Heroes of Philanthropy” for her steady commitment to charity. Forbes also stated IU is the youngest person to make the list.
